FIRE TRAINING FOR THE COMMUNITY DEPARTMENTS
I recently became a member of the Bittinger Volunteer Fire Department. I always took for granted the emergency services in Garrett County. I am proud to give back to the community and have a very deep appreciation for all those who have come before me. I have seen first hand the dedication, efforts, and sacrifices of these men and women who protect and serve the community for FREE. I encourage everyone to think about this when not in a time of crisis and know these services are there when need be. Visit a BBQ or Spaghetti dinner this summer and say your Thank You. Ask your Commissioner what they have done for a Fire Department Lately.
