Garrett Trails Earth Day Cleanup

WHO: GARRETT TRAILS
WHAT: TRAIL INVESTMENT DAY
WHERE: HERRINGTON MANOR LAKE HOUSE
WHEN: APRIL 22, 2010 9:00AM
WHY: THE FABULOUS PEOPLE ARE DOING IT

Garrett Trails would like to invite the entire community to help clean-up the debris, litter and other obstacles left behind from the unforgettable winter.  The project will take place on the 5.5 miles of trail between Herrington Manor State Park and Swallow Falls State Park.
Possible tasks may include: picking up litter, clearing downed branches, replacing and moving gravel, and minor pruning. Trash bags will be provided.  Anyone who would like to donate to the event should contact Nick Pratt at (301)801-3362 prior to the event.  Things to bring include drinking water, appropriate clothing, work gloves, and boots.  Things not to bring include pets, unsafe equipment, chain saws, and motorized vehicles.
With the hiking and biking season quickly coming up, there is no better time to roll up your sleeves and celebrate Earth Day by helping to maintain our outstanding network of quality trails that provide access to Garrett County’s historic, municipal, and environmental treasures.
